Biography

I am currently an Assistant Professor at LIMA Center of Shenzhen Loop Area Institute. From 2017 to 2026, I worked at Huawei Hong Kong Research Center. I received my Ph.D. from Dublin City University in 2017, supervised by Prof. Qun Liu and Prof. Andy Way, under the fund of EU Marie Curie Programme. Before that, I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Soochow University in 2010 and 2013, respectively, supervised by Prof. Guodong Zhou.

My research experience covers machine translation, large language models, multimodal models and LLM Agents. One of our papers received an ACL 2024 Outstanding Paper Award. I have co-authored a book titled “Neural Machine Translation: Foundations, Principles, Practices and Frontiers”. My team has also won many championships in international challenges such as WMT and AutoSimTrans.
